SECRETARY NOTES:

Minutes of General Membership Meeting held on 7 July 2010

1. Meeting was called to order by President Kelch at 1830hrs

2. REPORTS:

a. Secretary's Report:  no corrections. Report accepted
b. Treasurer's Report: No corrections. Report accepted.

Safety Coordinator:
With the weather turning hot, please make sure you drink plenty of water and keep a watch out for bee nests

Field Maintenance Coordinator: 
Lynn said the other tractor is ready for pickup. John Pratt will pick up the tractor. Also the other tractor is fixed. John and Lee cleaned the carb.

  1. UNFINISHED BUSINESS.
a. Pres. Kelch talked the Corps. Of Engineers and every thing is ok with the lease. Although there is a moratorium on renewing the water lease.

b. Parking. Pres. Kelch would like to remind every one that only Handicap plates are allowed to park inside the gate: except for loading and unloading.

c. William Stone said that it would cost around $1,300.00 to replace the solar station. We need to add another battery and the third panel to the system. On heavy use days the generator could also be used.

d. Motion was made to put up the other panel by Terrance Williams. Motion carried.

e. For the midsummer dinner V.P. Dirr said that for us to reserve Golden Corral we have to have a minimum of 25 people before they will schedule us on their calendar

f. Motion was made by George Jones to bring spouses and or girl friends to the dinner. MOTION DID NOT CARRY; because, to pay for was not included in the original motion.

g. Motion was made by Herman Syx to go Dutch for the dinner instead of the club paying for it. Motion carried.

h. There was a general discussion by the members present to possibly just have a BBQ at the field instead of going to Golden Corral.

i. V.P. Dirr said that the Mall Show is set for 11 September 2010. He will also get with Sears about using a TV for the flight simulator.
j. Reminder about putting the clubs lock thru the Corps lock at the front gate. We need to make sure the Corps. has access at all times.

k. V.P. Dirr is almost done with updating the Club History on the web site.

l. V.P. Dirr made contact with Artistic Memorials in Gatesville about acquiring a stone for the memorial at the airfield. Cost would be between $75 to $150.

m. Lee Mitchell will check on a piece of Granite.

n. Ed Cournoyer's wife will be possibly selling his stuff in Sept. or Oct. V.P. Dirr will make a list of the things that she will let go.

4. NEW BUSINESS 

a. Motion was made by George Jones that we have a Fly In on the 21st of May 2011. Motion carried

b. Matt Davis asked about putting cup hooks on the flight stands to hang Radios on. Pres. Kelch said he can.

Paul LaRue made a motion to adjourn at 1915 hrs. Motion carried
